SMS and MMS are powerful tools when engaging with your customers, providing a direct and efficient communication method allowing you to reach out with important information. Text messaging allows businesses to reach customers, ensure updates are timely, give appointment reminders, and personalize interactions. This enhances customer satisfaction by reducing wait times, improving service efficiency, and building stronger relationships. With high open and response rates, SMS and MMS enable businesses to deliver proactive support, resolve issues quickly, and drive customer loyalty–all while maintaining cost-effective and scalable messaging.
What Is 10DLC?
10DLC, short for 10-digit long code, is a messaging solution designed for Application-to-Person (A2P) text communication. This technology, used by SharpenCX, enables businesses to send messages through local long-code phone numbers, offering a cost-effective alternative to expensive short codes (such as 767676 or 97867). By using 10DLC, businesses can maintain a familiar, local presence while ensuring reliable message delivery. To utilize messaging via 10DLC, you must register your campaign through the form below. Following your submission, Sharpen will submit the registration on your behalf to The Campaign Registry, a centralized database that works with mobile carriers to approve and facilitate your messaging.
Restrictions
Your campaign must comply with strict content guidelines and cannot include messaging related to sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, or tobacco. Spam and phishing attempts are strictly prohibited. Violations may result in severe fines, reaching up to $10,000 for the third and subsequent offenses. Messages must include clear sender identification and avoid misleading or deceptive content.
Why You Need to Register
Failure to register your 10DLC campaign may lead to penalties, increased message filtering, and potential fines from carriers, especially if sending messages at scale. Once registered, your messaging must remain consistent with the details submitted to The Campaign Registry. Any deviations may result in blocked messages and additional fines. These fines are imposed by mobile carriers such as T-Mobile and Verizon, not by Sharpen.
