Overview
The Time Delay panel pauses a Logic+ flow for a specified amount of time before allowing it to continue to the next panel. Delays can be configured in seconds, minutes, hours, or days, giving you precise control over the timing of automated actions within your flow.
Before You Begin
The Time Delay panel is useful any time your automation needs to wait — whether to give an external system time to process, to space out a series of actions, or to build a recurring loop that runs on a schedule.
Example Use Case
Suppose you want to send a follow-up SMS to a customer one hour after they submit a support request. You could build a Logic+ flow that triggers on form submission, uses a Time Delay panel set to one hour, and then connects to a panel that sends the message. The delay ensures the message goes out at the right time without any manual intervention.
Another common scenario is building a polling loop — for example, checking an external system every 30 seconds to see if a task has completed, then branching based on the result. The Anchor To Last Target Time setting is especially useful here to keep the loop running on a consistent schedule rather than letting small processing delays accumulate over time.
Properties
-
Name
Enter a unique, descriptive name to identify the panel.
-
Description
Enter any notes about the panel for reference. This field is collapsed by default; select the down arrow to expand it.
-
Initiates Flow
Designates this panel as the starting point of the Logic flow. When selected, this panel will be the first to execute when the flow is triggered. This can only be removed by setting a different panel as the flow initiator.
-
Redact Data in Logging
Disables data logging for this panel to support data redaction requirements. This feature is available upon request and is subject to change.
Fields
-
Delay Value(s)
-
Enter the amount of time the flow should pause before proceeding. This field works in conjunction with the Delay Unit setting below.
Use Number: Specify a fixed delay value.
Use Variable: Reference a variable to allow the delay duration to be set dynamically within the flow.
-
-
Delay Unit(s)
Select the unit of time for the delay. Available options are:
Option |
Description |
|---|---|
Seconds |
Pause the flow for the specified number of seconds. |
Minutes |
Pause the flow for the specified number of minutes. |
Hours |
Pause the flow for the specified number of hours. |
Days |
Pause the flow for the specified number of days. |

Anchor To Last Target Time
-
Enables drift prevention for looping delays. When turned on, each cycle anchors to the previous target time instead of the current time, ensuring the loop runs on a consistent schedule even if individual cycles take slightly longer to process.
-
This setting is most valuable when the Time Delay panel is used inside a loop where timing accuracy matters. Without it, small delays in processing can compound over time and cause the loop to drift from its intended schedule.
Off (default): Each delay starts from the current time at the moment the panel is reached.
On: Each delay starts from the previously calculated target time, keeping the loop on schedule.

Exit Paths
-
Default
The path taken when the delay completes. Use the dropdown to connect this path to the next panel in your flow.
