Overview
Voicemail Broadcasting allows you to distribute a copy of a voicemail to multiple users simultaneously. When a voicemail is left at the broadcast's extension, every user assigned to the broadcast receives a copy in their individual mailbox.
Voicemail Broadcasting can also be used to create a standalone voicemail mailbox that is not tied to a regular user extension, for example, a shared Sales Team mailbox or a department-level voicemail box.
Configuration
Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Voicemail Broadcasting and click New Voicemail Broadcast to create a new broadcast, or select an existing one to edit it.
-
Name
Enter a name for the Voicemail Broadcast. This is an internal label used to identify the broadcast within the admin interface.
-
Extension
Assign a unique extension to the broadcast mailbox. Callers or agents can dial this extension to leave a voicemail that will be distributed to all assigned users.
-
Password
Optionally set a password to restrict who can access the mailbox. This is useful when the broadcast mailbox contains sensitive information or should only be accessible to specific individuals.
-
Users
Search for and select the users who should receive a copy of voicemails left at this extension. Up to 30 users can be added per broadcast.
